I adore Kat and Daniel and the rest of the cast. In this one Kate seemed to go about investigating more freely than in the past which I found to be unreasonable for the era of the story. This is one of those books that I could read in one sitting...and I almost did (stupid laundry and such got in the way), but stayed up late to finish.
