This graphic novel is a wonderful depiction of the original I Survived book that Lauren Tarshis wrote for children and middle grade. I thought this graphic novel was well done. It was also interesting that they made the end of the book (fun facts and abot the author and illustrator) into graphics too! Releases 2.4.20. (A lot of people died.) Images of crew members locking gates and pointing pistols at helpless families challenge readers to consider the deadly impacts of classism. Better buy this for sure! The family also mee. A great introduction to not only the accident but also the time period as the drawings show details such as period dress. I really liked the pace, action, and historical facts at the end.

This novel is based on the true events of the Titanic while telling the story of a little boy George, his sister Phoebe, and their Aunt Daisy's journey back home to New York. I am a fan of the I survived Series and a big fan of Graphic Novel Adaptations. This was beautifully written and illustrated for the targeted age.

Lauren Tarshis understands that her action stories and their graphic adaptations are often the first choice for struggling readers, but Tarshis does not pander to her audience; she celebrates it. I am a fan of the I survived Series and a big fan of Graphic Novel Adaptations. The second half wasn’t colored yet and some graphics were temporary.
